The Business Studies Department is the most challenging one .The aim of teachers is to make students undertake the basics of the subjects offered and guide them in their field of study. The variety of subjects offered will enable the students to pursue higher studies in different fields and join the world of work.

 

The department has an important task and the duties and responsibilities are as follows:

 

• Plan aims and objectives of the students.

• Give guidelines for lesson plans for each chapter.

• Compilation of question papers with detailed marking schemes and answer-sheets.

• Writing school reports subject-wise

• Consultation of CIE syllabus and reports.

• Organize meetings with the teachers to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the pupils and devise solutions to make students excel in their subjects.

• Encourage teamwork and proper planning and use our human resources very effectively and efficiently for the benefits of our students.

• Encourage students’ presentation of various topic.

 

In line with the changing society and the advent of new technologies, the department has brought innovation in its teaching approach.  We adopt a student-centered approach and use different strategies and methodologies like group work, brainstorming, oral questioning ,research work , ICT skills , project work, educational tours and visits.

 

Evaluation and Performance of our pupils is carried out through the practice of summative assessments, continuous class tests, semestrial exams, mock exams as well as formative assessments.
