WINDSOR COLLEGE GIRLS 1949 ...

The mainstream (Forms I – V1) student population is mostly from the low income working class families with poor results at Certificate of Primary Education (CPE}. Through constant monitoring, hard work and close collaboration of the staff, the School Certificate results recorded are always good taking into consideration the intake level. In addition to academic subjects, infrastructural and technical facilities such as a modern Computer Laboratory, an Art Specialist room as well as an audiovisual room, the school offers physical and moral education, pastoral care and various extra-curricular activities. Moreover, it also provides education to a prevocational stream to gear CPE failures of younger generation towards a better future. The rate of CPE success in this stream also is commendable.
The aim of the school is to form responsible and qualified citizens of tomorrow in order to face life with more ease and comfort. It is worthwhile highlighting that students from this humble institution have reached peaks in their career in the form of white-collar jobs, otherwise a dream to many.
The root of the success story of Windsor College Girls is the “Triangle Pédagogique” where teachers, parents and students are all involved to contribute towards excellence.

Windsor College Girls, the oldest institution of the south of the Republic of Mauritius for girls, founded in 1949 and located at Rose-Belle, continues to contribute to the socio-economic aspect of the island. It has been empowering the local community with instruction and education, two vital components of a modern, civilized and disciplined society.
The educational institution comprises of a tailor-made building for school purposes in a conducive environment to impart knowledge and ways of life to the student population. Information Technology and modern educational tools adapted to our needs are the best practices used to attain the school’s objectives.
