WINDSOR COLLEGE GIRLS 1949 ...

INFRASTRUCTURE
The school laboratory at Windsor College Girls provides facilities for practical sessions in all the fields of science up to Form V level. These practical sessions are essential for the social, economic and technological development of the individual to better understand the concept of science. These also help the students to think scientifically. All equipment, models, charts, chemicals, solutions existing in the school laboratory satisfy PSSA requirements.

The setting of the lab makes Science different from other subjects. Practising using equipment and techniques are quite enjoyable and interesting. This exercise enables students to better understand the theoretical aspect.
Group practical work enables students to build a team spirit for mutual benefits. The lab can accommodate about 30 students at one go. Effective practical work at secondary level allows students to:
-
gain firsthand experience of scientific equipment
-
practise basic experimental skills such as observation and measurement
-
understand phenomena through carrying out experiments or watching teacher demonstrations
-
learn to work safely and responsibly and work together in multi-ethnic groups
