The Windsor College Girls’ English Department has always helped students tackle the language with confidence. Our mission is to make our students become fully competent and be able to communicate effectively in Standard English. The dedication of our teachers has proved to be useful and trustworthy to many students who are equipped with the necessary preparation and practice needed to face the examinations at different levels.

Each year, the proclamation of results brings much less frustration and more happiness to students as the latter do secure credits and passes in English Language. As a matter of fact, the school has borne 100% passes in School Certificate for quite some years and our first intake at Higher School Certificate in 2012 proved to be a success too, with 50 % of passes.

Our meticulous choice of textbooks caters to the needs of both the lower classes and the more challenging requirements of S.C and H.S.C examinations. Furthermore, with intensive reading and oral practice as from Form 1, coupled with pair teaching in lower forms, students are provided with good examples of effective vocabulary and style.

Our task even goes beyond the four walls of the classroom when students participate in Essay Competitions, English Elocutions and Debates, scoring positive remarks and trophies as well.
