Windsor College Girls started operation 1949, and in 1960, it moved to the existing premises in a 6-room concrete building especially designed for a school.  The expansion continued gradually over the years.

In the early 70s  due to an increase in the school population, 3 additional classrooms were added, followed by another 3 in the early 80s.A Science room and a library were set up. In 2006 a new wing was erected as well as a multi-purpose hall with new facilities, namely a computer room and a modern Art room. Finally in 2012 an additional floor was built to cater for HSC classes and an audio-visual room.

The school is an L-shaped structure of about 2000 square metres erected on a 50 perches plot of land.  A board of directors, administrative and teaching staff cater for the smooth running of the institution with a student population of around 450, 30 educators and 15 non-teaching staff.
